Our goal is to put Calamares on the Artix Linux ISO(s) and keep it as close as possible to vanilla Artix. Basically, we provide a graphical installation tool for Artix Linux. You can use any desktop you like!
After the installation, the graphical medium uninstalls itself. You can intercept this process to push your own configuration files. Here's a list of the flavours of Artix Linux ISOs we support:
runit is a suite of tools which provides an init (PID 1) as well as daemontools-compatible process supervision framework, along with utilites which streamline creation and maintenance of services.
Learn MoreOpenRC is a dependency-based init system that initially maintained compatibility with sysvinit. OpenRC was written by Gentoo developers and it is designed to be used by other distributions and BSD systems.
Learn Mores6 is a process supervision suite that also provides tools for service management (s6-rc) and system initialization/shutdown (s6-linux-init).
Learn More66 is a collection of system tools built as a wrapper around the s6 supervision suite and s6-rc service manager.
Learn MoreDinit is a service supervisor with dependency support which can also act as the system "init" program.
